Volgens de oude Maya kalender leven we in de laatste dagen van een grote kosmische cyclus bekend als de ‘Lange Telling’. Traditioneel wordt dit aangeduid als het einde van de Vierde Zon en de geboorte van de Vijfde Zon.

De Maya houden nauwkeurig en gedetailleerd de Kosmische cycli en de aarde z’n transities bij en wijzen op extreme veranderingen in het collectieve bewustzijn. Inheemse tradities, wereldreligies en de platonische filosofie zien de huidige fase als de voorbode van een radicale aanpassing in onze perceptie van de realiteit.
